Puppy PartiesTuesday Afternoons At our Harpenden Clinic
3pm or 4.30pm
'Puppy parties' are a great way for your puppy to learn how to meet and greet other dogs, whilst you learn some useful tips and tricks on how to care for them. Having fun at the vets as a youngster really helps them later in life when they need to feel confident and brave having treatment.
Each week the session starts with meeting and greeting, followed by an interactive discussion on a range of topics and ends in a play session whilst each pup gets taken out in turn to be weighed and have some treats on the examination table.
Socialisation is one of the most important things you can do to help them to become a confident happy dog. There is a certain window of socialisation, and our nurse will help guide you through the steps you should take to maximize this opportunity.
Creepy Crawlies - Good parasite control

We will try to help you get to grips with what your dog might be exposed to, and then guide you to what could be the best option for the protection of your pup and your family
Neutering and Nutrition:
- When and why to neuter?
- What, when and how much to feed?
Really common questions, and one-size does not fit all - we're here to help you find the right solution that suits your pup.
Glass bottles, barb-wire fences, cats hiding in hedges, tree stumps, reversing cars, - all these things are out there for your poor puppy to bump into. We'll give you a quick lesson on how to deal with basic injuries and how to bandage a paw.
